As a Data Engineer within our Enterprise IT Applications team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our data-centric initiatives forward. You'll be part of a collaborative data team responsible for maintaining and evolving our centralised data warehouse, ensuring it remains robust, scalable, secure and aligned with business needs. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making across the organisation by enabling high-quality, reliable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that demands a proactive mindset, strong technical expertise in data engineering, and a passion for building systems that empower data-driven growth.

Responsibilities

Connecting to and extracting data from source systems, applying business logic in the form of data transformations. Identifying and implementing new data collection processes to include all relevant information. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple teams, and geographies, to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions. Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly processes, reports, dashboards. Develop, and maintain a ADF data warehouse solution, ETL pipelines, and data models to support business intelligence and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical data assets, data flows, and potential data quality issues. Lead complex data analysis to help stakeholders understand data quality issues. Proactively measure and analyse data, identify risks and issues, and present solutions. Collaborate with the reporting team for effective data distribution. Independently drive projects and prioritization between projects to earn trust from stakeholders

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Demonstrable hand-on experience of designing and delivering data warehouse solutions. Understanding cloud concepts, data storage and processing, SQL, ETL, and data integration patterns A strong understanding of ETL processes and the ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines. Writing SQL scripts and stored procedures supporting the analysis and reporting of data and the diagnosis of issues in loading and reporting. Knowledge of data governance frameworks and security best practices is crucial for ensuring data quality and compliance Proven experience of working with business and technical stakeholders to deliver suitable solutions. Experience of data migration strategies, system integration, and customisation within the ERP space. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to translate business needs into clear and comprehensive architectural documents. Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
