Job Summary: Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist specializing in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join Data Sciences team at Disney Star. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced computer vision and NLP models and algorithms to drive innovation and solve complex problems. About the team Data Sciences team at DisneyStar creates data-driven innovations and value for the business. They help business partners respond to their top-priority business goals by introducing new ways to tap their exploding data assets, using statistical methods, ML/DL, and predictive models. Data Scientists perform in-depth research and develop new practices and methodologies for working with the latest technologies. They also work with industry-leading engineers to create new tools and features that support sophisticated analytics for business units. Reporting To Manager, Data Sciences Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop tailored solutions. Conduct in-depth research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision, NLP, LLM, and machine learning. Design and optimize computer vision models for tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and visual recognition. Develop NLP models for tasks such as text classification, topic extraction, entity recognition, etc. Analyze and interpret structured/unstructured data from diverse sources to derive meaningful insights and drive decision-making. Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate ML, computer vision and NLP models into production systems. Employ MLOps practices to ensure efficient model deployment, monitoring, and management in real-world scenarios. Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in computer vision and NLP and provide guidance on their application to projects. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data scientists and team members. Skills & Attributes for success- Must have: With strong focus in Computer Vision and one or more areas (NLP, ML & DL, Mathematical Optimization). Deep understanding of computer vision concepts and techniques, including image processing, feature extraction, object detection, image classification, face recognition, segmentation, tracking. Strong hands-on Python, TensorFlow/Pytorch, OpenCV, Scikit-Learn, Scipy, NLTK/Gensim/Spacy, Pandas, Numpy In depth understanding of Classical ML algorithms, Deep learning models & architecture (CNN,RNN, Resnet, LSTM), Linear Algebra. Experience in developing and deploying NLP models using techniques such as text embeddings, sequence models, and transformers . Experience in performing EDA and statistical analysis. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Good to have: Knowledge of LLMs, Prompt Engineering Experience in utilizing MLOps practices for model development, deployment, and monitoring Knowledge of Recommendation models Knowledge of Mathematics matical Optimization methods Data scrapping from web Preferred Education & Experience Masters or equivalent in Computer Science or quantitative discipline like Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Applied Mathematics, etc. Must have relevant experience of 3-6 years in Computer Vision or NLP.
