You will be working as Senior Data Scientist role reporting to Research and development manager at global grade 12 or 11 and will be part of Motion division Business Area based in Bangalore, India. You will be part of ABB Motion Services, Smart solutions analytics community. We develop advanced digital services and solutions which are used by our clients around the world. We leverage software development, machine learning, statistics, and domain knowledge to turn data to valuable insights.Your responsibilities Define, develop, and document platform for analytics prototyping and development. Guide/Mentor junior data scientists in the team. Develop analytics for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of electrical assets. Work as a part of global development team following agile development practices. Act according to ABB's core values of Courage, Care, Curiosity and Collaboration. Experience in identifying right machine learning methods for time series and event text data. Experience in handling big data with appropriate tools, platform, and architecture. Experience in guiding junior data scientists for selection of right methods, tools. Software development experience and familiarity with modern data tools and languages (Python preferred) and know-how of Microsoft Azure cloud is appreciated. Your background Candidate with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the significant areas of expertise the role demands. Master/Doctoral degree in Computer/Data Science or equivalent with good academic track record. Experience with data management and transforming data into value adding customer features Good understanding and experience on machine learning methods.
