The Team
The Data Quality team is responsible for executing analyses and implementing controls to ensure high-quality, timely, and reliable data for our clients. As a Senior Data Quality Researcher, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values your contribution to achieving our shared goals. In this individual contributor role, you'll work closely with colleagues across regions and functions, understanding how your work fits into broader business objectives. You will perform key data quality measurement activities, escalate issues as needed, and contribute to the correction of inconsistencies. By taking initiative and supporting your team, you will help deliver reliable data and improve overall client experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute analyses and implement controls to ensure the quality, sufficiency, and reliability of data.
• Apply your skills and knowledge to produce defined outputs, meeting specific timelines and quality targets.
• Engage with stakeholders to define data quality requirements and understand processes within the data domain.
• Take initiative to provide support to your team and seek ways to contribute outside of your assigned tasks.
• Identify and escalate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive correction of inconsistencies.
• Pay close attention to detail and identify potential issues that may impact data quality.
• Conduct testing of use cases as part of data audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in team discussions, sharing insights and ideas to improve quality and efficiency.
• Perform data queries and deliver prioritized tasks on time, in full.
• Have a learning mindset by leveraging available resources and training to advance your skills and knowledge.
• Support team members and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives and live the S&P Global purpose and values.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
• We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a data operations role; experience in data quality is an advantage.
• Proficient technical skills (including Excel, SQL, Basic PowerBi)
• General understanding of financial and market data, and data flows.
• Ability to work effectively within a large, global team.
• Demonstrated ability to understand the team's broader goals and how your work plays a role, actively participating in collaborative efforts and supporting team success.
• Resourceful and solution-oriented, able to generate new ideas and think outside the box to improve data processes.
• Team player who is supportive and collaborative, actively seeking ways to contribute beyond individual tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative to provide support and voice ideas for continuous improvement.
