Senior Data Platform Consultant (S2/S3)
to join our team in India as a
Snowflake and DBT SME.
This role is pivotal in continuing to shape Snap's Snowflake and DBT capability, driving go-to-market products and accelerators, and ensuring our team stays ahead of the curve with the latest features and best practices. You'll also represent Snap externally through thought leadership and events, while contributing to pre-sales and RFPs to help us win Snowflake and DBT projects.

What you'll be doing...
This role will span three key areas:
1. Snowflake & DBT SME Leadership
Develop go-to-market products and accelerators to support project delivery.
Collaborate with Snowflake on commercials and strategic partnerships.
Work with Snap leadership to design training programs and keep the team up to date with new features.
Share knowledge internally through workshops and proactively communicate new Snowflake releases.
Represent Snap at external events and contribute to thought leadership.
2. Client Project Delivery
Lead design and architecture for client data solutions, gathering requirements and managing senior stakeholders.
Get hands-on with coding and building data pipelines when needed.
Mentor junior team members and help them overcome technical challenges.
Deliver end-to-end data analytics projects working with large datasets (100GB+).
3. People Development
If experienced and willing, you'll take on line management responsibilities for a small team, nurturing and developing talent.
What you'll need to succeed...
You'll be a great fit if you have:
Snowflake Expertise: Extensive enterprise cloud data platform experience with a strong Snowflake focus (ideally 6+ years working with Snowflake)
DBT Knowledge: At least 1-2 years of hands-on DBT experience.
Experience across both the application and administration sides of Snowflake.
Proven track record delivering end-to-end data projects and overcoming complex data challenges (e.g., rewriting business logic).
Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to pre-sales and RFPs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A start-up mentality: adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
Willingness to support projects beyond Snowflake and DBT (e.g., Matillion, DPC).
This role might not be the right fit for you if:
You're looking for a purely strategic position and don't want to get hands-on with project delivery, coding, or building data pipelines.
You only want to work on Snowflake and DBT projects and aren't willing to work on other technologies like Matillion when the business requires it.
You prefer a highly structured role with fixed responsibilities rather than an evolving position where priorities and tasks can occasionally be fluid.
