Role Title: Senior Data Engineering Manager
Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the delivery and execution of data engineering solutions in the delivery of the enterprise data warehouse and associated data marts and data lakes. This role focuses on the strategic integration and availability of enterprise data for analytical purposes such as reporting and AI. Leads a team of skilled data engineers, analysts, and quality assurance ensuring timely and effective access to well-formed and integrated data sets. The role holder plays a critical role in operationalizing the Data Engineering vision and standards, ensuring that all solutions are aligned with FMs data strategy and data architecture. This includes the design, development, delivery and support of databases, data pipelines, data lakes, and other strategic data assets. This role requires strong technical problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage production support and projects independently and collaboratively. Works with Global Core Platform Services, Database Reliability, Solution Architects, data engineers and other cross functional stakeholders to monitor systems health, troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensure reliability, as well as design, determine data access patterns, and supply data services.
Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver and Support Data Engineering Solutions: Responsible for leading the delivery and execution of data engineering solutions in the delivery of the enterprise data warehouse and associated data marts and data lakes. This role focuses on the strategic integration and availability of enterprise data for analytical purposes such as reporting and AI.
• Team Leadership and Execution Oversight: Lead a team of skilled data engineers, analysts and quality assurance ensuring timely and effective access to well-formed and integrated data sets. The role holder plays a critical role in operationalizing the Data Engineering vision and standards ensuring that all solutions are aligned with FM's data strategy and data architecture.
• Operationalize Best Practices and Standards: Implement and enforce best practices for data engineering, pipelines, and data architecture. Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and quality standards across all deliverables. The role requires strong technical problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage production support and projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support: Partner with the Senior Chapter Lead of Data Engineering and other leaders in Analytics & AI Solutions to ensure alignment between solution delivery and strategic priorities. Support enablement efforts by contributing to best practices, templates, and data frameworks.

Skill and Experience:

• 10-15 years of experiencerequired to perform essential job functions.
• Additional Experience Qualifier (optional) :10 years experience preferred. 5+ years of proven top performance in leading technology or analytics organizations. Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing a highly motivated team. Experience with Azure platforms including Synapse Analytics and Fabric.
• Expert level technical expertise in database development and database design. *Deep understanding of data modeling, SQL, DAX, and performance optimization techniques to ensure scalable and efficient designs *Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and project plans. *Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a high performing technical team. *Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions on time. *Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics leaders.

Must Have Skills:

• Required: Azure DevOps; C#; Azure Data Factory; Azure Synapse Analytics; Microsoft Fabric; DAX, Data engineering
• Preferred: Kafka; Spark; Databricks, R, Python, Purview, familiarity with observability and monitoring tools; familiarity with metadata management;knowledge of data governance policies (GDPR)

Education and Certifications:

• 4 Year / bachelor's degree
