Job Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure that supports analytics, reporting, and advanced data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with analysts, engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and scalable across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for structured and unstructured data
Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability
Work with large datasets in cloud and on-premise environments
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand data needs
Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security
Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex data issues
Integrate data from various internal and external sources, including APIs and third-party systems
Automate workflows and improve data processing efficiency
Maintain documentation for data workflows, architecture, schemas, and processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
Strong programming skills in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline frameworks
Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and big data technologies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Skills
Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Snowflake, or Redshift
Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows
Familiarity with machine learning pipelines or data science workflows
Experience working with real-time data processing
