As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how data drives decisions across global projects. Your expertise in Databricks, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric will enable us to build scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions. By designing robust pipelines and implementing modern architectures, you'll empower teams to unlock insights faster and innovate continuously. What You'll Be Doing

Design and Develop efficient batch data pipelines using PySpark on Databricks. Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for structured data processing. Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design data models and warehouses using Star/Snowflake schemas. Orchestrate workflows with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and integrate Azure services like Synapse, Key Vault, Event Hub, and Azure Monitor. Apply DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines, including automated deployment, monitoring, and testing. Ensure data quality through validation, profiling, and schema evolution across environments. Optimize data processing for performance and scalability. Implement secure access controls, secrets management, and audit logging. Create technical documentation and support UAT for operational readiness. Work proactively to identify risks and propose solutions, acting independently while seeking guidance when needed.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 3-7 years as a Data Engineer. Hands-on experience with Databricks (minimum 1-3 completed projects) and strong PySpark skills. Solid understanding of Medallion architecture, ETL/ELT design patterns, and SQL optimization. Experience with Azure Data Factory, CI/CD tools, and Git-based version control. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a growth mindset--you embrace challenges and see them as opportunities to learn. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a global matrix environment. Flexibility to work across time zones and adapt to changing priorities. Willingness to travel internationally for training and projects. Knowledge of ServiceNow is an added advantage.
