This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions. You will leverage Azure PaaS services, Databricks, and Power BI to implement medallion architecture for efficient data processing and reporting. The position emphasizes automation, DevOps practices, and test-driven development to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, team leads, and QA teams to define requirements, implement enhancements, and troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments. This role is ideal for proactive engineers who enjoy optimizing performance, solving complex data problems, and contributing to impactful data-driven decision-making.
Accountabilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure data PaaS, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Implement medallion architecture to structure and optimize data flow.
• Automate unit and integration testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with team leads and stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate development efforts, and finalize work plans.
• Benchmark and optimize code to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support and troubleshoot deployment issues across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
• Work closely with QA teams on issue resolution, change management, and continuous improvement.
• Develop prototypes as needed to validate design approaches and gather stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong experience with Azure data services, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
• Solid understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, and DevOps practices.
• Experience in converting high-level designs to low-level implementation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and resolve integration or deployment issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with medallion architecture and modern data modeling practices.
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration of ETL pipelines.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
