Introduction:





The Senior Data Engineer plays a critical role in designing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications that drive our data-driven decision-making processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and accessibility of our data infrastructure, which supports various teams, including data science, to leverage data effectively for strategic insights. You will be part of a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the organization's ability to harness data for innovation and growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:





Collaborate with the Product team to gather and understand user requirements, proposing innovative solutions to meet these needs. Analyze requirements to determine the best technical approach and solutions. Design and develop robust data solutions using relevant programming languages and tools. Conduct thorough testing of solutions to ensure reliability and performance. Research and address software-related issues, providing timely resolutions and updates. creative problem-solving skills to offer out-of-the-box solutions for complex challenges. Prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Stay adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies. Uphold and demonstrate a commitment to core organizational values.

Qualifications:





Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related role. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated integrity, maturity, and a constructive approach to problem-solving. Strong analytical skills, particularly in data warehouse and big data environments. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python preferred, Unix scripting acceptable). Experience in developing Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts. Hands-on experience with ETL tools, particularly Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS. Experience in troubleshooting complex ETL and SQL issues. Experience in designing and building data pipelines in AWS cloud environments (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift).

Tools and Technologies:





Core Skills:

Strong expertise in SQL AWS services (Lambda, S3, AWS Glue) Python scripting (preferred) or Unix scripting CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Tekton)


Specialized Skills:

Feature Store development using Tekton or AWS SageMaker Experience with IICS (required for one role, nice-to-have for another) Knowledge of Snowflake (nice-to-have) or Redshift


Additional Knowledge:

Understanding of data warehouse architecture (nice-to-have) Experience in data cleansing, validation, and wrangling
