Description


RESPONSIBILITITES -


Lead data engineering activities and process from demand management to design to implementation.

Act as a trusted advisor to our internal partners (Business Units and IT teams), and proactively

communicate operational status, issues & risks in the projects to management.

Conceptualize products for existing business problems with business covering full life Cycle -

design thinking, business canvas, road map with open source first approach and build products.

Lead internal consulting engagements, managing stakeholder expectations (Business Units) and

monitor time to time and drive quality of deliverables.



Cost Optimization of resources and effective planning at the beginning of the assignment and

drive vendor management activities.



Align and appropriately use Mercedes-Benz IT project management tools, governance,

processes, policies and methodologies.



Bring value-add by creating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through PoCs,

encourage best practices, challenge current practices, provide feedback to team & colleagues.

Active participation in Data communities, support inner source activities within the

organizations. Know-how of the latest in the industry and its fitment in the current set up.

Participation in organizational wide initiatives



Qualifikationen
Qualifications and Skills


Mandatory

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience in the field of Data Engineering Expertise in Data Engineering technologies such as SQL, ETL, Pipeline Orchestration, Data Lineage, Data Documentation, Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory etc.. Good knowledge of data architecture and Data Modelling patterns Experience in working as a Data Engineering Architect / Lead: query tuning, performance tuning,

troubleshooting, and debugging.Familiarity with a full range of data engineering approaches, covering theoretical best

practices and the technical applications of these methods.Familiarity with databases and analytics technologies in the industry including Data Warehousing/ETL, Relational Databases Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD including deploying a range of data engineering pipelines into production, and testing techniques is a plus Experience building additional solutions around the Data Engineering architecture Working knowledge in Github Agile development experience. Strong in presentation, communication (written and verbal English), and interpersonal skills and comfortable in liaising with stakeholders independently Ability to prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced environment


Good to have

knowledge of visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)



Preferred Experience and Skills

Microsoft Azure Certifications Certified Databricks Associate Developer (preferably in Python) is highly preferable. Working experience in SAFe - Scaled agile framework is a plus
