Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sr Data Engineer to spearhead our Data Foundation team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise in data engineering and development, and a passion for driving data strategy and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and developers.
• Work with Service Manager, Service Owner and the Architecture team to architect and implement scalable data solutions and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business goals.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvement in data processes and technologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Mandatory experience with ETL and understanding of ETL concepts.
• Experience implementing master data management solutions.
• Strong exposure to SQL, with the ability to write queries to validate data between DB applications.
• Experience with implementing APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL.
• Development of RESTful services with a good understanding of micro-services design patterns and concepts.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Demonstrated history of validating data in databases and various file formats.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark/Python and Jupyter Notebook.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.

Nice to have: DevOps, Terraform, PySpark using StreamSets, exposure to Databricks, Lambda Serverless APIs, AWS Aurora DB
