The Opportunity

We are seeking an

experienced Senior Data Engineer

with deep expertise in

AWS data services

to design, build, and optimize high-performance data pipelines and platforms. This role is ideal for someone passionate about

DataOps, cloud-native architecture, and enabling AI/ML teams with reliable, scalable data infrastructure

.



You will lead

AWS data engineering projects

, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with platform, AI, and analytics teams to ensure

seamless data availability and quality

for enterprise-grade workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Data Platform Design & Development

Architect, develop, and maintain

scalable AWS-based data platforms

. Design and implement

ETL/ELT pipelines

using services like

AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and Kinesis

. Optimize data storage and retrieval with

Amazon Redshift, S3, and DynamoDB

.

DataOps & Automation

Implement

CI/CD pipelines

for data workflows using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or similar tools. Automate data quality checks, schema validations, and monitoring.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with

data scientists, AI engineers, and product teams

to ensure smooth data availability. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to

internal best practices and architectural guidelines

.

Performance & Cost Optimization

Optimize AWS workloads for

cost efficiency and performance

. Implement

partitioning, compression, and indexing

strategies to improve query speed.

Security & Governance

Ensure

data security, encryption, IAM best practices

, and compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

5+ years

of experience in data engineering with

at least 3 years hands-on in AWS

. Strong expertise in

AWS services

: Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, Athena. Proficiency in

Python, SQL, and Spark

for big data processing. Experience with

data modeling, warehouse design, and schema optimization

. Familiarity with

streaming data architectures

and real-time analytics. Knowledge of

infrastructure-as-code tools

(Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
