Senior Data Analyst - Finance

Home-based / Office-Based / Hybrid, India

Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is growing rapidly in cloud. Cloud Finance team requires a Senior Data Analyst to improve upon existing reporting and help with new reporting requirements. We are looking for a dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture.

Your Day-to-Day:

Consolidating and analyzing data from large disparate data sets, queries, and reports present in operational and financial systems. Building metadata and setting up data capture/input and assigning context to business data. Conduct exploratory analyses to identify trends, success indicators, and performance insights that inform key business decisions. Prepare and lead monthly ad-hoc reviews with business partners by providing insights and clear understanding of variances Supporting monthly forecast cycles, work on high impact projects, and troubleshoot any systems-related issues -- all while becoming a trusted and strategic partner for the broader FP&A team Responsible, task driven, and curious Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to prioritize own workload and manage downstream stakeholders Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills. Advanced knowledge in Python, SQL and writing scalable code.

What You Bring to The Team:

4+ years of data analysis and modeling (via code) experience in Finance, Pricing, or other analytical field. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or directly related field such as Finance or Business Administration. MBA/Master's is a plus. Experience with PowerBI including PowerBI security Experience with Azure REST APIs, Google Big Query and Databricks is a plus. Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Functions is a plus A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial analytics, reporting or software development with focus on backend including database management and business logic. Basic understanding of financial concepts such as direct/indirect costs, overheads, amortization, and other related management accounting principles or willingness to quickly learn.
