Gates Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. This is a key role in our growing Cyber Security group that is a full-time, permanent, salaried role with standard work hours and requires very little travel.

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Security position reports to the Information Security Architect and is responsible for collaboration with business partners and IT partner teams. In this role you will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining critical information security controls across the enterprise. You also will create and drive technical information security architectural and engineering recommendations to continuously improve the Gates cybersecurity maturity and defensive posture. You will work with internal and external customers and partners to provide support, advice, and direction related all our security functions and technologies including Privileged Access Management (PAM), SSO/MFA, Active Directory, Windows/Linux OS hardening, vulnerability remediations, EDR, cyber incident response, and network security controls.
What You'll Do

  • Provide expert level knowledge of core and advanced access controls including Microsoft Group Policy Objects, Kerberos authentication, Azure AD, and Active Directory.
  • Have a strong understanding of LDAP, ADFS, and Azure Active Directory operation.
  • Provide expert level experience with End Point Security controls of workstations and servers including use and management of Microsoft Defender, Carbon Black, Cloudflare, and TrendMicro applications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with system and network security hardening concepts,.
  • Demonstrate deep experience in the understanding of securing Microsoft Windows endpoints and servers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with PowerShell scripting.
  • Demonstrate proficiency securing Linux systems and create scripts.
  • Provide expert level experience with conditional access systems and Privileged Identity Management.
  • Provide a strong background of experience with data and systems exposures, breaches, vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with third party identity management platforms.
  • Provide experience in incident response and information systems forensics.
  • O365 admin experience a plus.
  • Azure cloud security knowledge a plus.
Primary work
  • Independently lead and deliver information security projects.
  • Daily duties as an information security subject matter expert (SME), a system administrator, as a project manager, perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform information security assessments and drive remediations with customers and IT from ideation through execution.
  • Develop and document information security processes and procedures into artifacts that incorporate text, technical design diagrams, and graphical presentations.
  • Design, build, deploy, operate, and maintain reliable, secure solutions.
  • Conceptualize innovative ideas to challenge the status quo.
  • Actively participate in internal and client meetings as a security SME.
  • Oversee administration of a variety of information security solutions including PAM, SSO, MFA, and EDR.
  • Manage 3rd party MSSP for SSO, MFA and other IAM functions.
  • Mentor/grow junior cyber security staff and interns.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical language with all levels of staff and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and document requirements/needs, assess solutions, provide recommendations, and drive/lead positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and positively influence others and outcomes.
  • 3 years experience with Microsoft AD, DNS, Carbon Black, Cloudflare, InsightVM, LogRhythm, and TrendMicro solutions.
  • 5 years experience with security processes, frameworks, and documentation.
  • 3 years experience with systems architecture and remediation of vulnerabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4-year university degree (equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirements)
  • 5+ years information security experience including hands on with MS Active Directory, PAM, IAM, and EndPoint protection tools.
  • Experience with ISO27001 certification a plus
