Assistant Manager – Property Risk Consulting, Marsh Advisory What can you expect?

  • You will be part of the newly formed Property Risk Engineering (PRE) team within Marsh Advisory department which will work towards capturing of critical data fields which will be used for reporting and enhanced client experience, preparing Market Readiness Assessment (MRA) reports and generating Property Valuations.
  • You will interact with our global risk engineering colleagues, and seek final client deliverables for data capture and storage in a centralized data lake.
  • You will be working on the MRA reports for global clients with available data and reports. You are also expected to give recommendations on the road map of MRA.
  • You are expected to provide data insights on the MRA task with suggestions for improvement.
  • You will be trained on the concepts of Property Valuation to support US Valuation team.
  • You will be reading through the complex risk survey reports and capture the critical data points from the report.
  • You will be trained by experts in Risk Engineering field at Marsh, and will learn a variety of concepts in this field.

We will count on you to:
  • The AM will work within the Property Risk Consulting team of Marsh Advisory, reporting to a Senior Specialist.
  • He/she will be responsible to collate and manage the risk engineering survey reports across Marsh.
  • He/she will be supporting the team on work allocation, quality reviews, meeting deadlines, trainings, etc.
  • Liaise with the global PRC team members and leaders to create streamlined process to share the final client deliverable.
  • Read the report and capture critical meta-data from the risk survey reports and save the information into a structured database via web-based forms.
  • Build continuous improvement in data capture process, and highlight any anomalies to the senior team members.
  • He/she is expected to complete the various MRA requests end to end with providing suggestions on the road map for the global clients.
  • Supporting the US Property Valuation team on end to end valuation task within the expected turnaround time.
  • Assisting the Senior Risk Engineer in estimating the Risk Scores for the given client and the risk involved.
  • Highlighting any ambiguity in the data or issues pertaining to missing information.
What you need to have:
  • Degree in Engineering (preferably in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) or Graduate in related fields.
  • Work experience of 3 to 5 years in insurance industry preferably in Risk Engineering.
  • Any ongoing certifications related to Risk Engineering will be a plus.
  • Comfortable working with Excel & Microsoft Access. Knowledge on Python is an additional plus.
  • Knowledge on basics of Insurance.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking approach.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and quick learning capabilities.
  • Ability to arrange and synthesize data and information from multiple sources.
