Role Overview

At Demos Project, we are seeking a

Tamil Content Writer

who can transform

data-backed research inputs into strong, persuasive, and culturally resonant Tamil

narratives. The role demands a deep understanding of Tamil Nadu's political

landscape, sharp linguistic instincts, and the ability to craft impactful written content

that aligns with campaign communication goals.

You will work closely with research and strategy teams to develop narratives,

speeches, and social content that reflect public sentiment and strengthen campaign

positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Narrative Development

? Convert research insights, issue analyses, and daily briefs into high-quality Tamil content for social media, print, and digital dissemination.

? Write compelling posts, captions, press meet notes, and narrative drafts that echo the campaign tone and leader's communication style.

? Support the development of counter-narratives and talking points on emerging issues and trending topics.

? Create adaptable content suitable for quick digital turnarounds and high-impact communication cycles.

Coordination with Research & Media Teams

? Collaborate with the Research and Data units to understand verified findings and contextual nuances.

? Integrate media monitoring inputs--print, TV, or social--into relevant content narratives.

? Contribute to the daily response flow by producing content aligned with key issues and statements of the day.

Language & Quality Control

? Maintain linguistic precision, clarity, and originality in Tamil content.

? Ensure tone consistency across different campaign materials (reels, posters,

press notes, social media).

? Review translations and back-translations for contextual accuracy. Campaign Communication Support

? Draft short notes, speech points, and event-based messages under tight deadlines.

? Participate in brainstorming sessions for narrative design and content framing.

? Assist in maintaining a repository of Tamil communication assets for long-term campaign use.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Education

? Bachelor's degree in Tamil Literature, Journalism, Mass Communication, or related fields.

Experience

? Minimum 2 years in content writing, political communication, or digital storytelling.

? Proven ability to write in a tone that connects across diverse Tamil-speaking audiences.

Skills

? Strong command over written Tamil--grammar, idiomatic expression, and regional nuance.

? Political awareness and ability to interpret current events contextually.

? Fast turnaround writing skills, with adaptability for multiple content types.

? Familiarity with basic digital coordination tools (Google Docs, WhatsApp, Sheets).

Bonus

? Scriptwriting or copywriting experience for digital or campaign videos.

? Basic understanding of English to interpret and adapt bilingual inputs.

Work Expectations

? Ability to handle quick-response writing under pressure with accuracy and

clarity.

? Extended hours and weekend work as per campaign requirements.

? High confidentiality, coordination discipline, and alignment with strategic

direction.
