Key Responsibilities

+ Build, customize, and maintain applications using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). + Design and develop AI-powered business solutions using Azure OpenAI, emphasizing prompt engineering and solution integration.
+ Write, test, and deploy robust Python scripts for data processing and system integration.
+ Design, optimize, and manage SQL and/or NoSQL databases to support cloud-based and on-premises applications.
+ Translate business requirements into scalable, technical prototypes and production-ready solutions.
+ Identify challenges quickly and formulate effective, innovative solutions leveraging AI, automation, and cloud services.

Qualifications & Experience

+ 4+ years of professional experience in technology roles (software engineering, data engineering, solution architecture, etc.). + Minimum 3 years of hands-on work in Azure OpenAI/AI engineering and Power Platform (including Power Apps).
+ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with: Azure OpenAI and LLM-based solution engineering, including prompt design. Microsoft Power Platform--with deep expertise in Power Apps.
+ Strong Python programming skills for scripting and automation. Familiarity with additional Azure services (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, API Management).
+ Proven expertise in SQL and/or NoSQL database design, management, and optimization.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong team collaborator.

The Team

The MDT group is focused on delivering differentiated service offerings through the use of new technologies such as Data Wrangling, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and Machine Learning. This group enables the Multi-state Tax Services (MTS) practice to drive profitability and growth, through application of emerging and existing technologies and enhanced utilization of Tax tools and software. We support MTS teams by assessing and addressing their data and technology challenges on client engagements, internal processes and data intensive projects to help achieve efficiencies, win clients and create differentiated services. With the exponential growth of accessible data, there is an increasing need to bring data and technology capabilities to help address client needs and support Deloitte MTS engagements and solutions.
