Job Description

Role Objective

To design, implement, and monitor evidence-based tourism policies that enhance sustainable development, infrastructure, and visitor experiences, while ensuring compliance with national and state frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development: Research, draft, review, and update tourism policies, guidelines, and frameworks aligned with government regulations and strategic priorities.

Strategic Planning: Develop medium- and long-term strategies for tourism promotion, destination development, and cultural heritage preservation.

Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to legal, financial, procurement, and funding guidelines related to tourism schemes and programs.

Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with local communities, hospitality providers, travel agencies, NGOs, corporates, and cultural organizations for effective policy implementation.

Program Implementation: Provide implementation and program management support for tourism schemes, eco-tourism initiatives, and capacity-building programs.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Establish KPIs, track program performance and outcomes, and recommend evidence-based improvements.

Budget & Resource Allocation: Support budgeting, fund utilization, and financial reviews, including grants, sponsorships, and CSR funding where applicable.

Reporting: Prepare concise policy briefs, analytical reports, and presentations for senior leadership and government review committees.

Qualifications & Skills

Master's degree in Public Policy, Tourism Management, or related field.

Proven experience in policy formulation, program management, or tourism administration.

Strong analytical and research skills for evaluating data and policy outcomes.

Excellent communication and drafting skills for clear policy documents.

Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Knowledge of national tourism policies, heritage conservation frameworks, and destination management structures.

Budget management and financial oversight experience.

Pay: ?80,000.00 - ?150,000.00 per month
