Job Title: Senior Consultant - System Management

Location: Bangalore - Global Village ( Mysore Road)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Consultant - System Management with 3-5 years of experience in Bash/Shell scripting, CentOS Linux Administrator, RedHat Linux Administrator, SUSE Linux Administrator, Ubuntu Linux Administrator and Oracle Linux Administration. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Windows Server, Automation, PowerShell, BigFIX, and SCCM.



Key Responsibilities:



1. Develop and implement comprehensive patch management processes and procedures to ensure the prompt deployment of security patches across all systems.



2. Create deployment patch packages using SCCM, BigFix and Qualys.



3. Proactively monitor industry trends, security vulnerabilities, and software updates to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.



4. Conduct thorough testing of patches in non-production environments to ensure compatibility and minimize potential disruptions.



5. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of system patches for all systems.



6. Monitor patch compliance levels regularly, identify gaps or non-compliance issues, and take appropriate actions to address them promptly.



7. Share the Patch Compliance Report for Audit whenever it is required.



8. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry standards related to patch management.



9. Collaborate closely with IT teams and departmental stakeholders to schedule and coordinate patch deployments and remediation activities, providing technical expertise and guidance.



10. Work closely with Information Security's Vulnerability Management Coordinators to understand missing patches across the systems group, patch groups and validate the remediation of vulnerabilities.



11. Work with the Vulnerability Assessment Coordinator to develop and implement an escalation process for technical issues that cannot be resolved within established timeframes.



12. Ensure timely escalation of critical matters to minimize security risks.



13. Be prepared for after-hours work when it comes to patching critical systems.



Skills & Qualifications:



1. 3-5 years of experience in Bash/Shell scripting, CentOS Linux Administrator, RedHat Linux Administrator, SUSE Linux Administrator, Ubuntu Linux Administrator and Oracle Linux Administration.



2. Good understanding of Windows Server, Automation, PowerShell, BigFIX, and SCCM will be an added advantage.



3. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.



4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.



5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.



6. Proven experience in managing patch deployment and associated risk mitigation.



7. Ability to work after hours, if required.
