We are seeking a dedicated Project Leader (PL) to join our dynamic team for Cities projects to be based in Riyadh, KSA. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Director (PD) and Project Partner (PP), contributing your expertise and leadership to shape the future of urban landscapes.

• Oversee and manage urban planning projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing updates on project progress.
• Lead and guide a team of planners, designers, and analysts, distributing tasks, setting objectives, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Develop comprehensive urban planning strategies and solutions, considering factors like zoning regulations, transportation, environmental impact, and community engagement.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to demographics, land use, market trends, and infrastructure to inform planning decisions.
• Navigate through local zoning codes, regulations, and policies to ensure proposed projects align with legal requirements.
• Facilitate public meetings, workshops, and presentations to engage stakeholders and gather input for inclusive and community-oriented planning.
• Evaluate architectural and design proposals to ensure they align with the project\'s overall goals and urban design principles.
• Prepare detailed reports, feasibility studies, and presentations outlining project objectives, methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address unforeseen challenges during the planning and implementation phases.
• Work closely with other professionals such as architects, engineers, economists, and environmental experts to create integrated and holistic urban plans.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in urban planning to continuously improve project outcomes.
• Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
• Contribute to business growth by identifying new project opportunities, participating in proposal writing, and nurturing client relationships.

What do I need to be successful\xe2\x80\xa6.

• Educational background in architecture/architectural engineering, spatial and urban planning, land development, civil engineering, and/or sustainability/sustainable development.
• Proven ability as a systems thinker, capable of operating strategically and technically within the context of the built environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating with diverse multiple disciplines, including infrastructure, planning, environment, GIS consultants, and other technical specialists.
• Exposure to projects spanning multiple sectors, such as hospitality, residential, retail, and cultural domains.
• Experience working on large-scale land development projects for public and private sector clients.
• Experience in city-scale urban regeneration projects, including managing urban, infrastructure, social, and economic planning aspects.
• Strong client-facing skills with a history of effectively collaborating with external sub-consultants and subject matter experts.
