Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in data engineering, Python, SQL, and experience in the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on core banking projects and leveraging big data technologies to support data processing and analytics.
Key Responsibilities: * Data Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines in the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Manage and optimize data storage solutions using HDFS.
• Data Processing:

• Develop scalable ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across systems.
• Programming and Scripting:

• Write efficient and reusable code using Python for data transformation and analysis.
• Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Banking Domain Expertise:

• Work on data migration, integration, and reporting for core banking applications.
• Understand and address domain-specific data challenges.
• Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and application developers, to understand data requirements.
• Provide technical support for data-related issues in ongoing projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in data engineering, with exposure to core banking projects.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in HDFS for data storage and retrieval.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Expertise in SQL for database querying and reporting.
• Familiarity with big data tools such as Apache Hive, Sqoop, or Spark.
• Banking Domain Knowledge:

• Hands-on experience in core banking systems; experience in FLEXCUBE projects is a plus.
• Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Hadoop ecosystem components like Apache Pig, Spark, or Flume.
• Knowledge of FLEXCUBE data models and integration.
• Exposure to modern data engineering tools and practices in the cloud environment.
