Job Description

The ELV Commissioning Engineer is responsible for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handing over ELV systems to clients as per approved designs, specifications, and industry standards. The role involves close coordination with project teams, vendors, and clients to ensure systems are fully functional and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Test, commission, and hand over ELV systems including: CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems Access Control Systems Fire Alarm Systems Structured Cabling (Copper & Fiber) IP Telephony & Video Conferencing Public Address (PA) Systems Wi-Fi & Networking Solutions Building Management System (BMS - ELV scope) Verify installation quality against approved drawings and technical specifications. Perform system configuration, programming, and integration. Troubleshoot technical issues during testing and commissioning stages. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, vendors, and OEMs. Prepare commissioning reports, test results, and handover documentation. Conduct client demonstrations and training sessions. Support inspections, FAT/SAT, and final acceptance processes. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
Required Skills & Competencies

Strong hands-on knowledge of ELV systems testing and commissioning. Ability to read and interpret ELV drawings, schematics, and network diagrams. Experience with system configuration, IP addressing, and network basics. Knowledge of testing tools (OTDR, Fluke tester, multimeter, etc.). Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Proficiency in documentation and reporting.
