Position Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a Senior Cognos Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in an agile team responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level ERP applications. You will collaborate closely with customers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and product updates. Your expertise in IBM Cognos, Java, and SQL will be essential in troubleshooting, gathering requirements, and ensuring the seamless integration and performance of our applications. You will work on mission-critical systems, requiring a deep understanding of both application logic and database architecture, and support customer issues during US East Time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, deploy, and support enterprise-level ERP applications using IBM Cognos, Java, and SQL. Interface directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and gather requirements. Collaborate with product managers, development, quality assurance, and design teams to deliver outstanding software products and updates. Utilize Cognos SDK for advanced development tasks and integrations. Design and implement complex SQL queries, functions, and views to support application functionality. Contribute to the development of custom authentication providers as needed. Participate in agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Software Developer using IBM Cognos. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Cognos SDK development. Proficiency in JavaScript development. Advanced SQL skills, including developing complex queries, functions, and views.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing custom authentication providers. Prior experience working with ERP systems.
