We are looking to add an energetic and self-motivated Senior Cloud Database Engineer to our high performing global team of Database Engineering Experts. This role involves architecting, implementing and supporting technological solutions within Technology like MSSQL/PostgreSQL environment for revenue generating applications that drive the TR business. The candidate should have strong technical, excellent communication and collaboration, as well as time and project management skills to provide direction to the database team(s).
About The Role
Good knowledge and hands on with AWS and Azure services
Hands on experience on MSSQL on On-Prem and Amazon Managed Platform (SQL on EC2)
Deep knowledge and experience with Azure SQL Services, SQL MI, Azure Storage, Automation
Deep working knowledge of various Database High availability and DR options in AWS and Azure
Database Infra Automation using Cloud Formation, CDK, Bicep and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, T-SQL
Working knowledge on Serverless framework
Ability to troubleshoot database-related MSSQL performance issues on Cloud
Experience in maintaining cloud security features such as Identity Management, Encryption, Key management etc
Experience with CI/CD pipelines in AWS and Azure
Working experience with GitHub
Good understanding with Scrum framework
Effective communication skills at all levels both spoken and written.
Translate highly technical solutions/problems into clear language useful to audiences at varying technical levels.
Prepare high quality technical and non-technical documentation, present it clearly to interested parties.
Communicate in a professional manner when interacting across staff levels and internal/external customers.
Coach and mentor new joiners and junior database engineers - help them solve technical problems, and drive their learning path.
Work collaboratively and effectively with Business, Engineering/Support teams, Vendors
Be a role model to the rest of the members within and outside the team in technical, personal, behavioral, and corporate citizenship.
Participate and contribute in technology events/forums
About You
Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, technical or engineering degree preferred.
6 years' experience including providing support for mission critical production databases, developing database Engineering Services for MSSQL/PostgreSQL Databases on AWS and Azure
Prior working experience using agile development framework and best practices
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines independently toward assigned goals with minimum supervision
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to make presentations to professional peers and work closely with management
Display ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations
Be a role model to the rest of the members within and outside the team in technical, personal, behavioral and corporate citizenship.
