Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Client Partner to own and grow strategic SMB client relationships while ensuring successful delivery of custom software solutions. This role blends client relationship management, account growth, project execution, and technical credibility, acting as a trusted advisor and value-added partner to clients.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical understanding, proven account and delivery leadership, and the ability to work seamlessly with onshore and offshore engineering teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Maintain and grow existing revenue streams while driving strategic account expansion
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term partnerships
Understand client business objectives and technical requirements
Present and position engineering and software solutions to address client needs
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and advocacy
Account Management
Oversee Delivery Managers responsible for day-to-day account execution
Monitor service delivery to ensure alignment with client expectations
Handle escalations, address concerns, and proactively manage client risks
Strategic Planning & Business Development
Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Develop and execute account growth strategies to increase revenue and footprint
Project Delivery & Execution
Own end-to-end execution of client projects
Participate in requirements gathering, technical discussions, analysis, and estimation
Partner with engineering teams on solution design and effort estimation
Present proposals, estimates, and delivery plans to clients
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Review internal status reports and present progress updates to clients
Track KPIs and conduct retrospectives post go-live
Offshore Team Management
Work closely with offshore engineering teams across all project phases
Ensure sufficient time-zone overlap for effective daily communication
Bridge communication between client teams and offshore delivery teams
Promote alignment in culture, expectations, and delivery standards
Reporting & Insights
Provide clients with visibility into project progress, trends, and best practices
Deliver regular performance reports demonstrating measurable value
Offer strategic recommendations based on data, outcomes, and market trends
Collaboration & Coordination
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams
Partner with sales, marketing, product, delivery, and support teams to meet client needs
Contract Negotiation & Management
Lead contract discussions, renewals, and negotiations
Ensure adherence to contractual terms and mutual obligations
Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Business Management, or related field
Master's degree is a plus
Experience
10+ years in a Client Partner, Account Management, or similar client-facing leadership role
Strong technical experience supporting custom software solutions
Proven experience with contract management, project delivery, and strategic planning
Experience managing SMB client accounts

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
