Role Overview

A Senior Civil Engineer at Chunawala Group in Mumbai is responsible for leading and managing complex civil engineering projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. The position demands deep technical expertise, leadership, and a comprehensive understanding of construction practices, structural design, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, design, and execution phases for various civil engineering projects. Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, site supervisors, and technicians. Review and validate engineering designs, drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and technical specifications. Ensure all project activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and statutory regulations. Coordinate with architects, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients for seamless project integration. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure timely and within-budget delivery. Conduct regular site inspections and provide technical solutions to resolve construction challenges. Manage project documentation, reporting, and regulatory approvals. Assist in procurement processes, contractor evaluations, and material approvals. Promote safety, sustainability, and best construction practices on-site.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and construction management. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and MS Project. Strong knowledge of structural design, construction methods, and building codes. Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Capable of handling multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams.
