Senior Civil Engineer - Renewable Energy (Hydro / Wind Projects)

Position Overview

Soham Renewable Energy is looking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with 20+ years of experience in civil construction, specifically for solar and wind renewable energy projects. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for civil works, from design review and planning to on-site execution and project delivery.

Experience & Age Criteria

Total Experience:

Minimum 15+ years in civil construction

Relevant Experience:

Proven experience in solar / wind / renewable energy projects

Age

: 40 - 50 years

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee civil and structural works for solar plants, wind farms, and hydro projects

Solar: foundations, mounting structures, roads, drainage, control rooms, substations

Wind: turbine foundations, access roads, hard standings, crane pads

Hydro: dams, canals, intake structures, penstocks, powerhouses, spillways

Review and approve designs, drawings, BOQs, estimates, and construction methodologies

Manage EPC contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure quality and timelines

Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls

Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental regulations

Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and project management teams

Conduct regular site inspections and resolve complex technical challenges

Lead contractor meetings and provide progress reports to senior management

Mentor and guide junior engineers and strengthen site execution teams

Support land development, geotechnical studies, and infrastructure planning for renewable sites

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in civil construction for renewable energy projects

In-depth knowledge of RCC, pile foundations, structural steel, geotechnical works

Experience handling large-scale infrastructure and energy projects

Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple project sites

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Master's degree is an added advantage
