Senior Site Civil Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Site Civil Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising civil construction activities on site, ensuring that projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders while maintaining quality, cost control, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage daily site construction activities Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and work inspections Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues Manage manpower, machinery, and materials efficiently Verify quantities and assist in measurements and billing Ensure quality control and implement corrective actions when required Support project planning, scheduling, and cost control Liaise with clients and consultants during site meetings
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Professional certification or registration (preferred, depending on country)
Experience

Minimum

7-10 years

of experience in civil construction projects Proven experience in site execution of buildings, infrastructure, or road projects Experience leading site teams and supervising engineers
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards and construction methods Excellent leadership and team management skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Good communication and coordination skills Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards
Working Conditions

Based on construction site May require extended working hours and weekend work Exposure to outdoor and site conditions
