Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented
Business Development Manager (BDM)
to join our team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the
events, exhibitions, or experiential marketing sector
and a strong understanding of market trends in
South India
. This role is responsible for generating new business, maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth across key cities in the southern region.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the events and exhibitions domain across South India.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients, agencies, industry associations, and vendors.
Market Development:
Develop strategic plans to increase market share in cities like Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and others.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Proactively engage with key stakeholders
within convention centres
, and build strong liaison with
government bodies
and
high-net-worth individuals (HNIs)
to identify and secure large-scale opportunities.
Sector Expansion:
Capture emerging opportunities in the
wedding industry
and
major sporting events
by establishing strong networks and market insights.
Proposal & Pitch Development:
Work with the creative and operations team to develop tailored proposals and pitch presentations to clients.
Event Planning Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution in line with client expectations.
Marketing Targets:
Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly Marketing targets and KPIs.
Industry Networking:
Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums to enhance brand visibility.
Reporting & Forecasting:
Maintain a Marketing pipeline, prepare regular forecasts, and provide market feedback to the Executive Director and senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
3-6 years of experience in business development, preferably in the events, exhibitions, or media industry.
Strong network and understanding of South Indian markets and client base.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel frequently across South India.
Fluency in English and at least one South Indian language (Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, or Telugu) is a plus.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?59,549.86 per month
