The Senior Business Analyst serves as a pivotal link between business objectives and technology solutions, steering organization toward informed decision-making and sustainable growth. This role combines expert analytical skills, industry knowledge, and exceptional communication to solve complex business challenges and drive transformation initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst works across departments to elicit requirements, optimize processes, and leverage data-driven insights, ensuring that strategies align with organizational goals.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus Lead the elicitation, validation, and documentation of complex business requirements and use cases through stakeholder interviews, collaborative workshops, and in-depth data analysis
Conduct end-to-end data analysis to support strategic decision-making across business units.
Assess both current and future state processes, translating business objectives into clear, actionable requirements and user stories
Engage with stakeholders across various business units to identify needs, challenges, and opportunities
Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to comprehensively collect and validate both business and technical requirements
Map, model, and evaluate existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency
Operational Management Translate business needs into actionable specifications and collaborate closely with Solution Architect, Product Manager, Developers, and QA to design and implement effective business solutions and achieve strategic goals
Prepare detailed documentation, including Business Case analysis, Functional Specifications, User Acceptance criteria and support UAT
Support Business Readiness initiatives, contributing to training, communication, and transition activities for seamless project delivery and adoption
Developing dashboards, graphics, and reports for Portfolio consumption on relevant matters, such as Requirement/Epic/Story cut through
Make portfolio level recommendations pertaining to workplace continuous improvement opportunities, role efficiency gains, as well as other aspects of delivery as and when the opportunity arises
People Leadership Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and project deliverables
Proactively identify emerging risks and dependencies, and recommend effective solutions & Business Process improvements
Build productive and professional relationships with key stakeholders, other cross-functional team members and Senior Leadership roles
Governance & Risk Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts
Drive business improvements through visibility of ongoing quality issues and initiatives
Review team working practices/procedures to identify opportunities to improve quality or productivity

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. (Master's degree preferred)
Require 10+ years of overall experience & 6+ years relevant experience
Expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process mapping.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience in Agile methodologies, Scrum Framework, Waterfall, Kanban
Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, etc.) and techniques (Optional)
Experience within the target industry (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior analysts and sharing expertise across the organization
