Job Description

Position Summary
The Commodities Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting and onboarding content across various Commodities asset classes within the Commodities DBoR. Operating from our Bangalore and Gdynia centers, the Commodities team is responsible for pricing and fundamental data, including prices, physical assets, production and consumption metrics, as well as trading and flow statistics.
Our team delivers high quality commodities information that powers critical insights for clients and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining data within our systems, collaborating closely with technology teams and other content specialists. The content you help develop supports external clients and internal research teams, enabling them to provide analysis and forecasts to customers. This requires active engagement with these teams to understand their needs and translate them into actionable business requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review business requirements for new projects; conduct research and draft functional specifications for onboarding new content and improving existing datasets.
  • Lead large scope content enhancement projects from definition through delivery.
  • Build market and content expertise by researching new datasets and engaging with external data providers and internal teams.
  • Gain proficiency in new content management tools and infrastructure, applying this knowledge to project work.
  • Innovate and develop cost-effective, resource-efficient methods of working.
  • Monitor customer feedback on content and recommend improvements or escalate issues as needed.
  • Support migration programs by providing specifications for new technology solutions and infrastructure; assist with implementation, monitoring, and testing.
  • Collaborate with Research and Forecast teams, Technology, Propositions, Content Management, and Onboarding Development teams to align deliverables with business requirements.
Required Skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and research content using source websites, documentation, and direct engagement with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills and experience of leading complex projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in addressing audiences at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of Commodities Fundamentals content.
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering and documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to define requirements and challenge existing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, SQL, Power BI and Python.
  • Working knowledge of products such as Eikon, Workspace, and Point Connect.
