5+ years hands-on backend engineering experience (Python expertise; Django a plus).

Proven ability to build and scale infrastructure -- AWS or GCP proficiency; Kubernetes/Docker familiarity

Prior startup experience, ideally in fast-moving, high-ownership environments

Clear evidence of end-to-end product ownership (not just ticket work)

Entrepreneurial mindset -- former founders or operators especially valued

Thrives in high-responsibility roles: comfortable making architectural decisions and shipping quickly
