As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that support innovative digital products. You will take ownership of functional areas, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership for system architecture and infrastructure. This role emphasizes high-quality code, scalable solutions, and operational excellence, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and influence technical decisions. You will work on cutting-edge technologies, including distributed systems, AI/ML pipelines, and modern cloud platforms, contributing directly to impactful projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs across multiple projects.
• Perform low-level and high-level design, coding, and unit testing for functional areas.
• Conduct code and design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and maintain development best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• Ensure all systems adhere to security standards, data protection policies, and operational best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems and workflows.
• Design, operationalize, and monitor ML/AI pipelines where applicable, including model training and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Golang, or Python.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in distributed systems architecture, system performance, and scaling.
• Experience with ML/AI model pipelines, MLOps, and cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Vertex AI, SageMaker, GCP, AWS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex systems.
• Passion for emerging technologies, including web3, generative AI, and machine learning frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on mentorship and technical leadership.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and production-grade deployment practices.
