About the Role

We're seeking a

Senior Backend Engineer

with deep expertise in

Node.js

and

NestJS

to help us architect, develop, and scale robust backend systems. You'll be a key contributor in building high-performance, scalable APIs and backend services that power our core platform. This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who thrives in a high-impact environment and is passionate about clean architecture, performance, and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using

Node.js

and

NestJS

Build and optimize

RESTful APIs

, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security Work extensively with

MySQL

and

PostgreSQL

, including schema design, performance tuning, complex queries, and stored procedures Implement and manage

MongoDB

for NoSQL data storage Set up and manage

queues

(BullMQ, RabbitMQ, Redis queues) for background job processing Integrate caching and rate-limiting mechanisms using tools like

Redis

Design and implement

multi-tenant architectures

ensuring strong data isolation and security Apply best practices in software engineering - OOP, SOLID principles, DRY code, and clean architecture Participate in

CI/CD pipeline

configuration and containerized deployments using

Docker

and

GitHub Actions

Troubleshoot complex backend issues and perform performance optimization at database and code levels Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, product, and QA teams

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of experience in backend development with

Node.js

Minimum 2 years of production experience with

NestJS

Strong experience in building and maintaining

REST APIs

Proficiency in

MySQL

and

PostgreSQL

with deep understanding of indexing, migrations, and query performance Experience working with

MongoDB

for NoSQL use cases Hands-on experience with

queue systems

like BullMQ, RabbitMQ, or Redis queues Proficient in

caching strategies

, especially with Redis Experience in building and managing

multi-tenant applications

Solid grasp of software design principles:

OOP, SOLID, DRY

, and clean code practices Familiarity with

CI/CD pipelines

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
