Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python and Django.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Optimise application performance for high availability, speed, and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex backend issues.
Stay updated with the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and security practices.
Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years
of experience in backend development using Python and Django.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
