Role

We're hiring a Senior Backend Developer with prior mobile gaming backend experience to build and scale low-latency, high-availability services powering gameplay systems (player accounts, progression, leaderboards, matchmaking, events) and live operations. Prior experience with gaming backends like matchmaking/leaderboards/inventories is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices for mobile game features and integrations.

- Own backend architecture focusing on performance, reliability, and secure distributed systems.

- Implement game platform services such as matchmaking/real-time gameplay support, leaderboards, player profiles, inventory/progression, and live events. [web:25][web:27]

- Work with real-time/event pipelines for telemetry, fairness, and platform operations (streaming/queues).

- Manage data across SQL/NoSQL (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) with strong schema/query/indexing practices.

- Deploy and operate services on AWS/GCP/Azure with Docker and Kubernetes. [web:32]

- Improve observability (logging/metrics/alerting) and support production releases/live issues.

Requirements

- 5-8+ years backend engineering experience, with shipped production systems.

- Strong experience in at least one: Node.js / Java / PHP, plus relevant frameworks (Express/NestJS, Spring Boot, Laravel, etc.).

- Hands-on cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Strong fundamentals in APIs, networking basics, and distributed systems. [web:25]

- Previous mobile gaming backend experience (live ops, scale, low latency) is required/preferred.

Nice to Have (Gaming-specific)

- Redis/caching, message brokers/streaming (Kafka/Kinesis/SQS), and event-driven architecture.

- Experience with anti-fraud/anti-cheat, gameplay telemetry, and real-time leaderboards/tournaments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹810,475.41 - ₹1,252,782.16 per year
