JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a highly skilled

senior backend developer

with deep expertise in

Laravel 10+

, building

scalable REST APIs

and

high-performance web applications

. This role requires exceptional

problem-solving skills

, strong backend architecture experience, and the ability to

lead and mentor developers

. You will work closely with product, frontend, mobile, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable systems. Strong knowledge of

databases, testing, and code quality tooling

is essential.

Key responsibilities:

Backend Development & Architecture

? Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Laravel 10+.

? Build secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications.

? Translate business requirements into clean, efficient technical solutions.

? Ensure best practices in authentication, authorization, caching, queues, and background jobs.

Database & Performance

? Design and optimize schemas using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other relational databases.

? Write efficient queries, handle indexing, performance tuning, and data migrations.

? Ensure data integrity, reliability, and security.

Code Quality & Testing

? Follow TDD (Test-Driven Development) principles wherever applicable.

? Write and maintain feature, unit, and integration tests.

? Enforce strong static analysis using PHPStan, Psalm, or similar tools.

? Participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Frontend Collaboration & JavaScript

? Work closely with frontend developers using

Vue.js

and modern JavaScript frameworks.

? Build clean API contracts and collaborate on frontend-backend integrations.

? Solid understanding of

modern JavaScript, REST consumption, and async workflows

.

Leadership & Team Enablement

? Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and architecture guidance.

? Lead technical discussions, system design reviews, and implementation planning.

? Take ownership of delivery for assigned modules and ensure technical excellence.

? Drive engineering best practices across the team.

DevOps & Deployment (Good to Have)

? Work with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud infrastructure.

? Collaborate with DevOps on deployment automation, monitoring, and scaling.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

?

7-10+ years of professional backend development experience

.

?

Strong expertise in Laravel 10+

and modern PHP (8.x+).

? Proven experience in building

REST APIs and full-scale web applications

.

? Deep knowledge of

PostgreSQL, MySQL

, and relational database design.

? Excellent

problem-solving and debugging skills

.

? Strong understanding of

OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture

.

Testing & Code Quality

? Hands-on experience with

TDD

, PHPUnit, Pest, or similar frameworks.

? Proficiency with

PHPStan, static analysis, and code quality tools

.

? Experience implementing coding standards and automated quality checks.

JavaScript & Frontend Awareness

? Working knowledge of

Vue.js

and modern JavaScript frameworks.

? Understanding of frontend build tools, state management, and API integrations.

Leadership & Communication

? Proven experience leading teams or acting as a technical mento

? Strong communication skils with the ability to explain complex technical topics simply.

? Experience working in

Agile/Scrum environments

Nice-to-Have (Big Plus)

? Experience with

Redis, queues, background workers, and event-driven systems

? Experience with

microservices or modular monolith architecture

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
