Senior AV Installation Engineer (CTS-I)

to lead the on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced audiovisual systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong technical and leadership skills, capable of ensuring that every project meets AVIXA standards and client expectations flawlessly.

Preferred Experience:

5+ years in AV integration or field engineering for enterprise or education environments.

Preferred Certifications:

AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I)

(current and in good standing)

Requirement

---------------

Minimum

5 years

of experience in AV installation or field engineering roles. Proven expertise in

rack fabrication, cable termination, and system commissioning

. Strong knowledge of

AV-over-IP

,

IT networking (VLANs, QoS, Dante, HDBaseT)

, and

control systems

(Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS). Ability to

interpret technical drawings

(AutoCAD, Visio) and ensure precise on-site execution. Strong leadership and communication skills for managing technicians and subcontractors. Experience conducting

client training

and creating closeout documentation. Ability to work on-site in construction environments and handle physical installation requirements (OSHA certification a plus).

Responsibilities

+ Lead on-site

installation and commissioning

of complex AV systems.
+ Oversee

rack builds, terminations, device mounting, and system wiring

+ Perform

testing, calibration, and quality assurance

for all AV, control, and network systems.
+ Generate and maintain

as-built documentation

, punch lists, and closeout packages.
+ Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation or system handover.
+ Conduct

end-user training

and ensure client satisfaction with system performance.
+ Manage

inventory, tools, and on-site safety compliance

.
+ Mentor junior technicians and promote best practices across the team.
