Job Description

The Back Office Senior Associate plays a valuable role within Treasury Back Office by supporting Treasury in delivering of day-to-day operational support in cash management and cash flow forecasting. The role will report to the Treasury Back Office Manager, and be one of four analysts roles - these five roles are all based in Bangalore, India. The role focuses primarily on:

  • Supporting the delivery of the day-to-day Group liquidity management by ensuring that Treasury deals are confirmed and settled in a timely manner;
  • Supporting the short- and medium-term liquidity management for the Group by delivering a trustworthy cash flow forecast of Group available cash;
  • Supporting the Treasury IT infrastructure by acting as systems administrators, developing and maintaining a good relationship with our Transaction Banking partners to escalate and resolve issues when they arise.
Key Responsibilities of the Role

Treasury Dealing support
  • Process Treasury payments (incl. FX deals, MMF investments, RCF and bond debt repayments, etc.) by settling Integrity payments made via SWIFT, and inputting payments in banking platforms when required ;
  • Where possible and appropriate, agree netting settlements with banking counterparties;
  • Confirm Treasury deals within and outside of Integrity, as applicable;
  • Assist Treasury payment queries, and support the escalation of business payment queries where necessary;
  • Report Back Office KPIs (e.g. deals confirmed, settled) accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Assist with any ad hoc queries
Cash flow forecasting
  • Support daily cash positioning by informing Front Office of any cash management settlement, unexpected payments and receipts;
Treasury IT infrastructure
  • Input relevant static data into Integrity;
  • Support the resolution of Integrity systems issues (e.g. SWIFT connectivity) at an appropriate level of escalation;
  • Support the administration of the SWIFT bureau (ECHOS);
  • Support the Bank fee analysis for the Group;
  • Support the implementation and upgrades to Treasury technology (TMS, banking, dealing) to ensure maximum straight-through-processing.
Key Behaviours & Skills Required to be Successful in the Role:
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Treasury team and other stakeholders (e.g. CashOps, AP, AR)
  • Able to prioritize tasks according to Treasury and business priorities;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent listening and communication skills;
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills and desire to improve ways of working in the team;
  • Must be control focused, ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Bachelor/Master/MBA degree preferably in finance, accounting, business or equivalent work experience;
  • 2 to 3 years work experience in Treasury Back Office or banking field preferred
