The Team

Alvarez and Marsal's dedicated Telecom & Digital Infrastructure (TDI) professionals work with global Telcos & Private Equity firms to provide independent analysis and end-to-end services across Corporate Transformation programs & Performance Improvement. Pulling from Alvarez & Marsal's restructuring heritage, A&M's TDI Group combines the best of A&M's bias toward action and practicality with deep industry experience as both consultants and operators.

Alvarez & Marsal's Performance Improvement business is rapidly growing its GCC TDI team. To continue our success and to support our ambitious growth plans, we are currently looking for an Associate to join our Gurgaon team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to use your outstanding business and analytical acumen, along with problem-solving skills to become an integral part of our successful 'hands-on' team. As a valued member of the A&M Global team based in Gurgaon, you will be working on high-impact projects across A&M's Global offices, and across the entire project life cycle, including conducting detailed market analysis, developing and executing growth strategies, implementing operational improvements, and driving financial performance enhancements to deliver measurable results for our clients.

How will you contribute?

As a Senior Associate, you will be working closely with Directors, Senior Directors and Managing Directors in a flat team structure. You will likely lead key work streams and benefit from constant exposure to the senior members of the team and client, and gain 'on-the-job' learning and development, leveraging on their substantial experience. You come with a proven track record in consulting case experience, market research, IP development. This role involves hands-on analysis and develop client ready output to drive strategic decision-making for our corporate and private equity clients. The ideal candidate will combine functional & technical expertise with strong individual contributor skills to deliver impactful solutions across various TDI domains.

Considering the pace of targeted growth, we are keen to find people who are entrepreneurial, driven by a passion to drive significant growth (people who can think in multiples of growth rather than percentages), are comfortable with ambiguity, will roll up the sleeves and be hands on to get things done and can be independent requiring limited cover.

The role will be initially based in Gurgaon. However, the person should be open to travel as and when needed and should be open to relocate to any location if our Capability Center scales and decide to relocate.

Key responsibilities:

Develop/ Deliver on Telecom & Digital Infrastructure (TDI) solutions/projects Actively contribute as a member of the TDI team to develop solutions and/or deliver advisory on modules such as Market Assessment, PoVs, Carve-out Models, CDD/ODD, Performance Improvement, Growth Strategy, Cost Optimization, Operational Transformation Develop expertise on various TDI industry sub-sectors (Wireless, Wireline, B2B & B2C business, ICT, Towers, Fiber, Cable, Satellite, Data centres) or clients to enhance overall project insights and strategies Own medium to complex work-streams with support from supervisors Perform benchmarking across relevant TDI financial and operational metrics to identify areas of potential underperformance Work with different analytical tools with focus on building expertise in Tableau/ Power BI, Alteryx/ Python, Excel and PowerPoint Own stakeholder relationships Interpret, understand and break-down client data/ requirements and project goals across various scenarios and adapt to them Communicate information/ insights, and the impact of the analyses to the clients and internal team Manage important work streams and own key business processes to solve client problems Participate & Lead meetings with senior clients, A&M Managing Directors, and third parties about your workstreams Lead pitch preparation with senior staff and support business development and marketing efforts Prioritization and Growing A&M Identifying project needs and milestones to manage & accomplish assigned work by agreed deadlines Collaborate with team members to create and deliver client outputs

Qualifications

Graduate from tier-1 college with 5-8 years of experience within leading strategy/ analytics/ analytics Consulting/ operational Consulting house is preferable Possess a good understanding of the Telecom & Digital Infrastructure industry, with keen insights into sector data and metrics across various areas Technical Skills

- PowerPoint skills - preparation of defect-free, high-quality client presentations

- Excel modelling skils - structure data within Excel in a way to draw conclusions and support timely decision making with our clients

Experience working in tools such as Alteryx or Python for data analysis, and Power BI or Tableau for data visualization Excellent analytical, problem-solving, business acumen, writing, research and presentation-building skills; attention to detail and striving to produce zero-defect deliverables Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities A strong team player and demonstrated ability to motivate team members Ability to prioritize - especially in highly pressured situations High integrity that is characterized by the ability to deliver messages even when they are difficult to hear Ability to quickly understand and piece together very vast or very limited amounts of data and to draw certain conclusions/actions from it.
