Centre for Civil Society (CCS) was started with a passion on 15 August 1997 to advance social change through public policy. Our work in education, livelihood, governance and policy training promotes choice and accountability across private and public sectors. To translate policy into practice, we engage with policy and opinion leaders through research, pilot projects and outreach. For the last couple of years, CCS has built a strong portfolio of research and outreach in education, governance and livelihood.


This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated fundraiser to play a pivotal role in the growth of Centre for Civil Society, India's leading think tank. Fundraising jobs are very versatile and raising money can be both satisfying and fun. You will be in charge of hosting a massive fundraising event meeting and interacting with sector leaders, and giving a presentation you've written requesting for a grant. Success in this role requires a combination of passion, confidence, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.


Being a fundraising Associate is more about being honest, confident, outgoing and detail-oriented. Moreover, you must be able to communicate effectively and eloquently and be up to date on social, political, and newsworthy topics in order to engage in meaningful conversation with potential donors. If you are interested in this role you will be responsible for executing a diverse range of sustainable funding streams to support and expand the work of the Centre.


We are looking for a proactive and multi-tasking professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple responsibilities and display a keen interest in public policy and fundraising.


Roles & Responsibilities:




Strategy and Planning



Develop and execute annual and long-term fundraising strategies. Identify new funding opportunities and create strategies to access these funds.

Fundraising



Manage tracking of existing programs and assist in developing a broader strategy for the organisation. Cultivate relationships with corporates, foundations and HNIs through proposals, pitch decks and events. Develop project concept notes, proposals and reports for donors in collaboration with the program team. Work collaboratively across departments to develop and deliver on effective donor communications, reporting and compliance with the aim of cultivating, growing and sustaining long-term funding and collaboration. Oversee grants, donor databases and fundraising events. Support building of strategic partnerships with academic institutions, corporate and institutional donors, and High networth individuals (HNIs) through pitchbooks, proposals, concept notes, presentations and client engagement Conduct preliminary research on prospective foundations, individuals and corporate donors.

Financial Planning and Budget Management



Develop cost-effective budgets and track fundraising performance. Prepare department reports and presentations for the Board of Trustees and take part in all Board meetings/departmental meetings. Reporting to

Qualifications & Experience
They will have substantial fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from foundations, trusts and individual donors. Educated to degree level or equivalent. Evidence of Continued Professional Development relevant to the role purpose and level.


3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Proven track record in securing funding and building donor relationships. Strong strategic planning, communication, and project management skills. Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce/Airtable (preferred), Canva, and data visualization tools. Interest in public policy (understanding of classical liberal ideas is a bonus). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to critically comprehend policy issues and contemporary socio-political and economic concerns and to write persuasively. Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize and prioritise work to fulfil the organisational fundraising goals

Location:




The position will be based in the CCS headquarters in Delhi. Frequent travel around India with the potential for international travel to partners and conferences will be expected.
