Senior Associate - Direct Taxation - Leading Tax Advisory Firm

The firm is looking for a CA, for its Ahmedabad location, having experience equivalent to 4 years in Big 4 / reputed professional firm. Opening is for Senior Associate (equal to a Assistant Manager) position.

Brief Profile is as under :

- Reviewing Notice/Orders and analyzing available information & preparing checklist to acquire necessary data/documents from client.

- Drafting submissions for scrutiny assessments, reassessments, rectification applications.

- Drafting Appeals for review by Principal. Planning & Coordinating with clients for obtaining necessary documents.

- Assist in CIT(A) / ITAT/HC proceedings.

- Represent before tax a authorities for stay application, recertification, refunds, No Objection Certificate u/s 281 and various proceedings

- Rigorous legal analysis of complex tax issues, dissecting divergent rulings, preparation of case for opinion and finalizing Opinion/Memo.

- Review of computation of income / income tax returns of various entities, Individuals, etc.

- Advising clients on tax and regulatory complexities of restructuring through Slump sale, merger ,demerger, conversion

- Well versed with law relating to International Tax, DTAA, MLI and current development/trends/Judicial precedents in International tax to advise clients on taxability of transactions and withholding tax obligation

- Understanding of companies act relating to related party transactions, deposits, Investments, alteration of share capital, dividend, buy-back, restructuring, ESOP etc.

- Advising client for complex issues in FEMA , Well versed with FEMA Rules and regulations pertaining to ECB, NDI, Import -Export transactions, Outbound Investments, investments in immovable property, etc.

- Reasonable understanding and willingness to analyze allied laws FCRA, Benami Act, Trust Act

- Regularly update knowledge management database with new updates.
