Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our

Debt Syndication

vertical. As a

Senior Associate

, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction, execution, and profitability of the business. This is a leadership position with full responsibility for the

Profit & Loss (P&L)

of the debt syndication function.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

Build & Lead the debt syndication team and oversee end-to-end transaction execution. Develop and implement business strategies to grow the syndication portfolio and revenue. Drive innovation in deal structuring and client solutions.

Business Development:

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions. Identify new business opportunities and originate mandates for fund-raising through debt instruments. Build Strategic Business Partnerships and Associations with Corporates and Financial Institutions

Transaction Management:

Manage the entire lifecycle of debt syndication deals including origination, structuring, documentation, and closure. Ensure timely execution and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Financial Oversight:

Own the P&L for the debt syndication vertical. Monitor financial performance, optimize costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.

Team Management:

Mentor and guide junior team members. Foster a high-performance culture and ensure continuous skill development.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Total revenue from debt syndication deals closed. Year-over-year growth in revenue.

Profitability:

Net profit margin of the vertical. Cost-to-income ratio.

Deal Execution:

Number of deals successfully closed per quarter/year. Average turnaround time for deal closure.

Client Acquisition & Retention:

Number of new clients onboarded. Repeat business from existing clients.

Market Share & Reach:

Increase in market share within target sectors. Geographic expansion of client base.

Team Performance:

Team productivity metrics. Employee engagement and retention rates.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Number of compliance breaches or audit issues. Risk-adjusted return on capital.

Qualifications & Experience:

MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent qualification. 7-12 years of experience in debt syndication, corporate finance, or investment banking. Proven track record of successful deal closures and client management. Strong understanding of financial products, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks.
