Job Description

The successful candidate will be contributing to a wide variety of tasks including:

\xc2\xb7 Conduct counterparty annual and interim reviews as well as new counterparty initial reviews.

\xc2\xb7 Provide recommendations for credit limits which are supported by thorough analysis and well-executed interpretation of relevant financial, industry, country, business and market information.

\xc2\xb7 Setting up limits in the system and coordinate the entire approval chain.

\xc2\xb7 Actively monitor credit quality and global exposure of the portfolio to existing and target clients by being current with industry and economic trends and market information to address any credit concerns and resolve issues.

\xc2\xb7 Co-ordinate with internal Credit and Business teams for necessary information on Clients.

\xc2\xb7 Keep abreast with market news, industry trends, litigations etc. that could impact the counterparty business strength and financial position.

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring process and procedure documentation is up to date.

WHAT YOU OFFER

\xc2\xb7 You are a 2nd year candidate of the MBA or PGDBM Finance program with a minimum GPA of 7.0 or equivalent, thus far.

\xc2\xb7 Additional financial qualification will be an advantage (CA, CFA, FRM.)

\xc2\xb7 Pre-MBA work experience is not mandatory, but if yes, then -

o Work experience in credit research/credit analysis/ratings domain and/or work experience in analysis of Financial Institutions (FIs) is an added advantage, but not a deal breaker.

\xc2\xb7 Summer Internship in the Financial Services Industry preferred

\xc2\xb7 Strong numerical and analytical skills.

\xc2\xb7 Strong written and verbal communication skills with focus on relationship building.

\xc2\xb7 Cross disciplinary thinking and an entrepreneurial spirit

\xc2\xb7 If required, willingness to work in afternoon shift to support internal stakeholders based in EMEA and/or US.

\xc2\xb7 Willingness to travel overseas, if required and situation permitting.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie\'s material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
