You are an energetic, motivated professional with 4+ years of experience in B2B technology writing, mainstream tech news writing. You are an exceptional writer at heart and have a creative flair for storytelling in the technology field. At this stage in your career, you\xe2\x80\x99ve experience in researching on technology-related topics, interviewing subject matter experts, write tech news content, build and manage monthly editorial calendars and work with internal cross-functional teams.

You will be a part of the Spiceworks Ziff Davis Editorial team which is responsible for creating industry-leading content for IT Decision Makers, technology evangelists and developers. Toolbox editorial team writes stories, develops enterprise-focused content and assets that helps readers understand technological developments.

You will work closely with the senior editor to shape the voice and tone of the technology section. You will work closely with freelancers and guide them in developing search-optimized, relevant technology content. You\xe2\x80\x99ll seek interview/feature opportunities with key influencers, tech news makers and have a keen eye for emerging trends and themes in technology. You will also serve as a senior resource in the newsroom and lend your voice in producing the best technology content for a global audience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Planning and executing a strong mix of trendy technology news and impactful longform content
• Editing and proof-reading longform content
• Guiding freelancers and staff writers on SEO techniques and formatting
• Assisting Senior Editor in planning, maintaining a monthly Editorial calendar
• Regularly quality check the content as per our Editorial Guidelines
• Content performance tracking of core success metrics for the content
• Establishing relationships with key influencers and subject matter experts
• Recruit and train freelancers

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proven experience in delivering a mix of features, longform and quick, news content
• Proven experience in successfully managing desk and freelancers
• Experience in building editorial content calendars and themes
• Excellent project and time management skills, ability to multi-task and ensure tasks are completed on time
• Proven familiarity with Google Analytics and knowledge of SEO will be an advantage
• Proficiency in AP style writing will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Strong work ethics and a motivated self-starter

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Journalism/English/Mass Communications or any graduate with 4+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience
