is responsible for managing, developing, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) for architectural projects. This role ensures the coordination of multidisciplinary models, adherence to BIM standards, and efficient digital workflows across all design stages -- from concept to construction documentation. The Senior BIM Coordinator acts as a bridge between design teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure model integrity, accuracy, and collaboration.
Oversee and coordinate architectural BIM models throughout project life cycles.
Integrate and manage consultant models (structural, MEP, interior, landscape, etc.) to ensure spatial and design coordination.
Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and coordination meetings using software such as
Navisworks
,
Solibri
, or
Revit
.
Maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure compliance with company BIM standards and protocols.
2. Technical Expertise
Develop, manage, and maintain
Revit
models and templates.
Set up project models, worksets, and file-sharing systems for large, multi-user environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve model performance and coordination issues.
Ensure correct use of families, parameters, and shared coordinates.
3. Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders for BIM deliverables.
Support project teams in implementing best BIM practices and workflows.
Provide BIM-related technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members.
4. Documentation & Standards
Ensure all documentation extracted from the BIM model is accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements.
Maintain and update company BIM libraries and standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM processes and tools.
5. Quality Control & Project Support
Perform QA/QC checks on models and drawings before submission.
Collaborate with the BIM Manager to enhance productivity and efficiency through automation and plugin tools.
Assist in preparing BIM deliverables for tenders, client presentations, and facility management handovers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Architecture

Architectural Technology
, or related field.
Experience:
3-5 years
of experience in architectural design and BIM coordination.
Proven experience in managing BIM workflows for
large-scale or complex architectural projects

Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in
Autodesk Revit
(Architecture focus).
Strong knowledge of
Navisworks
,
AutoCAD
, and
BIM 360 / ACC
platforms.
Familiarity with
Dynamo

Twinmotion

Lumion
is an asset.
Understanding of
BIM standards
