Job Summary:



The

Senior Architect

is responsible for leading the architectural design, planning, and coordination of civil construction projects--from concept to completion. The role ensures that designs are aesthetically appealing, functionally efficient, structurally sound, and compliant with regulatory standards. The Senior Architect collaborates with clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver high-quality and sustainable design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:1. Architectural Design & Planning



Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed architectural designs in line with client requirements and project scope. Prepare drawings, 3D models, and presentations using software like

AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, or Rhino

. Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and sustainability criteria. Integrate architectural design with structural, MEP, and civil engineering requirements.

2. Design Coordination & Review



Lead coordination with structural, MEP, landscape, and interior teams for multidisciplinary integration. Review design drawings and BOQs for accuracy and constructability. Resolve design-related issues during construction and suggest practical solutions. Ensure timely release of drawings and revisions as per project schedule.

3. Project Execution Support



Conduct periodic site visits to monitor design implementation and quality. Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and contractors for design clarifications. Participate in design and technical review meetings. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, materials, and specifications.

4. Compliance & Approvals



Ensure adherence to

local building codes, by-laws, NBC, fire norms, and accessibility standards

. Prepare and submit documents for statutory approvals (municipal, fire, environment, etc.). Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and clients to obtain design clearances.

5. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain organized records of design documents, revisions, and approvals. Prepare progress and coordination reports for management and clients. Review and approve architectural shop drawings and material submittals.

Key Skills & Competencies:



Strong design sense and visualization ability. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop

, and

MS Office

. Knowledge of

building materials, construction techniques, and finishing details

. Familiarity with

green building principles

(LEED/IGBC preferred). Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Educational Qualification:



B.Arch / M.Arch

from a recognized university (mandatory). Registration with the

Council of Architecture (COA)

is essential. Certification in sustainable or green building design is an advantage.

Experience:



8-20 years

of experience in architectural design and execution of

residential, commercial, institutional, or infrastructure

projects. Prior experience in

coordination with civil and MEP teams

preferred.
