Overview

What we are looking for:

You have solid functional knowledge on Sales business processes and have hands-on experience with Salesforce programming and configuration. You have been involved in requirement analysis, design and development of Salesforce projects. You come with very strong analytical and technical skills to projects that are enterprise level, complex and challenging.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will be responsible for working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyzing, building user stories and implementation. You will work with Developers, Architects, Product Owners and other key stakeholders, to design and implement functionality critical to our business success. The role is involved with planning and prioritization of design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues; having gained progressive recognition as a specialist in one or more fields, and is a key contributor to multiple successful projects, and through their leadership and experience is able to inspire and help develop more junior team members; and may moderate peer review and mentor junior staff.

Role and Responsibilities:

Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders across CSG, analyzing and understanding business requirements, business processes, functional requirements, cross-functional needs, and system capabilities

Translate the business requirements into user stories, work with business on prioritization and sprint planning. Work with the team on planning and execution of the requirements.

Design and implement Salesforce-based solutions to meet or exceed business requirements, adhering to best practices and solutions design standards, with an emphasis on maximizing out-of-the-box solutions.

Write well-commented code and adhere to naming conventions. Submit code for review and adhere to the standards established by the team.

Responsible for making moderate improvements of business processes and systems.

Work on bug fixing, resolving complex customer issues and improving application performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features.

Help to maintain code quality, application performance and security by following best practices

Peer reviews and provides guidance to junior team members

Basic Qualifications:

You will have a Bachelor or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science engineering or related fields.

You will have at least 6+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform in both functional and technical areas.

What are the key characteristics that would make you an ideal candidate:

Solid understanding of Salesforce CRM Sales and Marketing business processes.

Good communication skills and experience on working with business stakeholders on requirement gathering and solutioning.

Hands-on APEX programming experience, including Salesforce triggers, batch APEX, controllers, SOAP/REST API (Publish/Consume)

Hands-on experience with Salesforce configurations, custom application, Record Types, workflow rules, lightning pages

Experience with Salesforce Lightning platform, lightning components and sales/services console

Good Understanding of Salesforce architecture and platform administration

Experience with Salesforce sandbox management, Source control tools, CI/CD Release framework, scratch orgs etc.

Experience with platform integrations settings, 3rd party application integrations, app-exchange installation and configurations

Experience with Data loader tools, workbench, SOQL, SOSL, SQL, API tools

Familiarity with Salesforce platform release updates, health checks, Optimizer, org analysis, audit controls

Good knowledge in Reports, dashboards, monitoring alerts, Event monitoring tools, Splunk etc.

Experience in Apttus or Salesforce CPQ Quoting.
