Duration: 11 months
CTG is seeking a Senior Application Consultant with strong expertise in Energy Efficiency programs and Java development to join our client's team. This role combines technical leadership, Agile delivery, and deep utility program knowledge to support modernization and optimization of energy efficiency systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Translate Energy Efficiency, Demand Side Management, and DR program rules into functional application workflows.
• Design and optimize customer, contractor, and trade?ally journeys for rebate processing, energy audits, load management, and DR events.
• Support program intake, eligibility checks, measure verification, incentive calculations, and compliance reporting.
• Leverage GenAI/agentic AI to extract business logic from legacy applications and generate actionable user stories.
• Lead daily Scrum ceremonies and ensure proper Agile practices.
• Coordinate with product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to manage and prioritize backlog items.
• Provide Java technical leadership, including debugging, performance tuning, and stabilizing legacy code.
• Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams and oversee sprint execution.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and support system modernization initiatives.
• Support production issue triage, regression testing, and technical documentation.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Energy Efficiency programs in utility companies.
• Java development experience, including: Spring/Hibernate, EJB/Struts 2.0, Oracle PL/SQL.
• Agile framework expertise and experience leading Scrum teams.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Experience & Education:

• Proven experience as an Application Consultant or similar role, ideally in energy efficiency or utility domains.
• Experience leading design sessions, system modernization, and data migration projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $120,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
